ESG – Sustainable Development
Our Responsibility
At Hurtimex S.A., we believe that building a future for the youngest generation involves not only offering high-quality products, but also caring for the environment in which they will grow up. As a company listed on the NewConnect market, we are committed to transparency and the gradual implementation of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) standards in our business strategy.
E – Environment
Sustainable trade and logistics
In the e-commerce sector, which accounts for 80% of our revenue, our environmental impact stems from logistics and packaging, so we focus our main efforts on:
- Eco-friendly packaging: We are gradually phasing out plastic from our shipments. We reuse cardboard boxes and use bubble wrap with a recycling certificate.
- Logistics optimisation: We aim to minimise our carbon footprint by consolidating orders and working with logistics operators offering low-carbon deliveries (e.g. parcel lockers, electric fleets).
- Responsible product range: We are increasing the proportion of products made from organic cotton and recycled materials in our range, ensuring their durability so that they can be used by more than one child (the concept of circular fashion).
S – Social
Child safety and human capital
People are our top priority – our little customers and the team that makes up Hurtimex S.A.
- Product safety: We rigorously vet suppliers for safety certifications (e.g. Oeko-Tex) and material quality. Children’s health is our priority.
- A good place to work: We create stable employment conditions. We promote diversity and equal pay opportunities regardless of gender.
- Local support: We are involved in local community initiatives and support charities helping sick children.
G – Corporate Governance
Ethics and transparency of a listed company
As a public company, we uphold the highest standards of management and communication with the market.
- Transparency of communication: We ensure equal access to information for all shareholders through reliable periodic and interim reporting.
- Ethical supply chain: We require our wholesale partners and suppliers to respect human rights and labour standards.
- Risk management: We systematically identify operational and market risks.
Our Ambition
We are not perfect, but every day we make decisions that bring us closer to responsible trade in the children’s sector. In the coming years, we plan to implement a comprehensive carbon footprint assessment for our organisation and publish our first non-financial report.
